If you are visiting for the first time, come in and look around.  Make yourself comfortable.  We are all friendly here and we are interested in books; reading them, writing them and, most of all, discussing them.  We'd love to have your input.  Introduce yourself, recommend what you like to read or jump right in on a discussion thread. Although we love new members, 'joining' is not compulsory and if we are not yet quite what you are looking for, please look in from time to time to see how we have evolved.

To my fellow Bookworms, Thank you all so very much for your support. It's very heartening.  I'm not going to attempt to reply to each and every post.  I see my role, at least for the moment, as setting it up for you to enjoy.  This is new to me and as I learn, the site will improve and your suggestions and feedback are most welcome.

Take care, stay safe and we can all look forward to new friendships and fun times.

  1. Week 1

Wow, what a terrific response! Thank you for your contribution. You are the ones who will make it a success.

This site is nowhere near as ‘user-friendly’ as I would like. It’s a ‘package,’ which has been modified, as best I can, to suit our needs. However, things like the method of joining or posting, I can’t change. It’s been a steep learning curve for all of us and I particularly thank those who have persevered enough to post or join. To those who have given up, all I can say is to please keep trying. We’d love to see you here.

A special thanks to Jaywalker, for hosting ‘Voice Your Opinion’, where you can have your say on current issues. You can suggest a topic to Jaywalker on the ‘Suggestion Box’ page.

Unless there are more ‘topics’ or pages you would like to see here, the site is almost complete. There is one more feature, for members, I am still testing. It looks like a ‘go’ and if so, I hope you’ll be as excited as I am. I am hoping to have it up and running next weekend.

Keep in mind that this is an open, ( i.e. public) webpage. Check your security settings to maintain your privacy and keep safe.

This is your site. Please use the ‘Suggestion Box’ freely, for any comments, suggestions or advice concerning the site and I will do my best to make it happen.

  2. Hi San, I have said yes to receiving my mail from you
when I click On close it will not close.
I love the idea of linking the two sites, now we just need some one to teach us "all" how to do it, and you will not be able to bottle our happiness
    hugs susan

    1. LOL dont mind me it has been a Big week.
so that is a HELP to san

  3. Helping each other is what it is all about, Susan. We are both still learning. For the convenience of Bookworm readers who are also Social Senior members, I thought to add a link to the SS home page. Unfortunately, because of membership requirements, there is a technical problem. By working together, we may be able to find a solution. I hope so.
PS the 'close' box doesn't work for me either. I use the 'x'.
    Cheers, Sandra

  4. Whoa! This blog looks just like my old one! It's on a totally different topic but it has pretty much the same page layout and design. Great choice of colors!
